With the “The Art of Gesture”, the Baron and Baroness Benjamin de Rothschild wanted to present the wide diversity of their commitments to the world of craftsmanship and their assiduous work to make sure that the expertise they believe in is passed on. The preface is by Erik Orsenna, Councillor of State, writer and member of the Académie française.
It offers a tour through all the non-financial aspects of the Group, the vineyards in France and abroad, the Domaine des Trente Arpents, Megève, etc.
These historic activities have long been part of the family’s heritage and embody a lifestyle that remains precious to them today. Ariane and Benjamin de Rothschild continue to develop them for this reason, but also because, without these activities, the banking Group would not be what it is. The two universes speak to and balance each other. They are ruled by the same values.
